Defending Brandt Sprintcar Speedweek Champion Lockie McHugh is the first driver to lock into the freshly boosted 2025/2026 Brandt Sprintcar Speedweek.
The driver of the SRV Racing NQ7 Triple X Chassis has been in stellar form already this season with victories in the NT and Queensland and comes into his Speedweek title defence with every chance of repeating last season’s success.
Should he pick up a clean sweep he’ll pocket a cool $65,000 for his trouble if he can claim five wins paying $10,000 to win and the $15,000 bonus payday for the points fund.
The prolific race winner from the Gold Coast has a reputation as one of the fastest drivers in the Southern Hemisphere for good reason and together with crew chief Nick Speed and the vast resources of SRV Racing Lockie will once again come into the event as a pre-title favourite.
With experience and wins at every one of the Speedweek venues McHugh is a formidable force in the new look SRV Road Freight / Kenworth / Sedl Civil Contractors / Dondex / Western Truck Group / Global Lubricants Triple X.
McHugh has five wins and one podium to his credit so far this season and carries good momentum as the clock ticks down to December 26.
