Current Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic Champion Brock Hallett is a confirmed starter for the 2023/24 Clay-Per-View Sprintcar Speedweek and with the series being conducted at tracks he has years of experience and success at he will enter Speedweek as one of overall series favourites.
The Portland, Victoria resident spent several years residing in South Australia therefore during that time Murray Bridge and Mount Gambier were considered home tracks, an experience he will be hoping to utilise throughout the opening three nights. During his time racing in South Australia Hallett was victorious in a Speedweek A-main at Murray Bridge, catching and passing Kerry Madsen on his way to a surprise $20,000 World Series Sprintcars victory.
“I’m excited to be racing for $10K every night against a quality field. I am also really looking forward to going back to Murray Bridge to see all my South Australian fans” commented Brock recently.
Going into Speedweek his most recent performances at the four venues includes a runner-up finish at Murray Bridge in March during the Ross Wright Memorial, ninth at Avalon during the SRA round and fourth at Warrnambool last weekend in the Max Race. Due to several rain outs his most recent start at Mount Gambier was the Kings Challenge last January.
During the early stages of the season Hallett has been racing all over the country with Hallett’s best current performances including a feature win and a runner-up during the Chariots of Thunder Series in Darwin, a second placed run at Warrnambool during the SRA and third placed finishes at both Gladstone and Toowoomba in Queensland.
