Brock Hallett is in.
The 2023 Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic Champion and national Sprintcar live-wire has signed on the dotted line in the last 24-hours to contest the Brandt Sprintcar Speedweek.
Initially slated as a PRO Contracted driver when discussions began back in March Hallett and the ultra professional GW Racing operation looked long and hard at their potential summer schedule options with dates on either side of the country’s seaboard.
With a busy 2024 so far in the USA, throughout NT, the East Coast and even New Zealand so far there were several options on the table for the in-demand Hallett and team principal Graham Erhart over the hectic Christmas-New Year period.
The hard charging Portland Victoria based throttle monster is a major threat to any and every race the Q5 enters into and with momentum steadily building with the Brandt Sprintcar Speedweek it was decided Hallett would come out on the Speedweek highway between December 26-January 1.
The GW Racing Team’s inclusion into the Brandt Sprintcar Speedweek adds some tenth hour sizzle to what is already a searing summer’s plate at Murray Bridge, Bordertown, Borderline, Avalon and Warrnambool.
His win at the recent Murray Bridge Speedway Super 8’s brings him into Speedweek with plenty of speed and confidence.
That’s great news for fans and not such great news for rivals…
